I have tried Alf's three times now and been disappointed each time. To be fair, the "char-burgers" do live up to their name, they are perhaps just too overcooked for my tastes. Hamburgers are cooked to extremely well done, leaving burgers dry, a bit on the chewy side and tasting burnt. Parking can be challenging due to its placement at an odd outlet onto 99W. The "service" staff has generally forced me to make them take my order each time. The monkey is an interesting attraction if you like that kind of thing, but doesn't compensate for the general, all-around low quality of the premises and the food.

I was really looking forward to getting a burger from Alf's. It was highly recommended by acquaintances and when we got there, the place was PACKED! The service was so-so, and so was the food. I must admit I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food considering I paid $8.50 for a cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger patty was the squished, formed, frozen kind, with an odd taste, and the onion rings were fishy (they should probably change their oil). Overpriced, okay food, may come back to try a milkshake, but no more burgers!

Who would want to eat at place were there is a monkey staring you in the face and its just cruel to keep a monkey in that small dirty hut it's disgusting all the ladies i know think its gross and unbearable. It doesn't look like the clean the monkey or its home there is always poop and dirt on the monkey it's definitely not a fun experience

Don't eat at Alf's who eats were monkey live this place is so so so so dirty i hate this place. Im a respected 42 year old male at Linfield college i advise people not to eat here i went there and it looked like the monkey had a cold and it was rubbing its butt against the window. This place has lazy service and there burgers are disgusting I am a pretty layed back person but this place is disgusting McDonalds is gross but this is disgusting. there milk shakes are even more disgusting

We were visting friends in Amity and they suggested we try Alf's . We were happy they did ! Alf's is a first rate burger joint of the old school type . The burgers were very tasty and the onion rings were outstanding . The malts were fantastic . Alf's reminded me of the places my folks used to take me back in the 60's . This place is a must do if your in the area !
